What you need for this Alabama White BBQ Sauce

If you are like me, you don’t want complicated instructions or a long ingredient list to make some good stuff at home. Here is all that you need to have:

  • vegan mayo
  • apple cider vinegar
  • mustard
  • garlic powder
  • hot sauce

Only 5 simple ingredients are required. Salt and pepper not included.

Stunning taste with potato wedges or vegetables.

How to make White BBQ Sauce

Take a medium-sized bowl and combine in it the vegan mayo, vinegar, mustard, garlic powder, and hot sauce. Season with salt and pepper, then mix with a spatula or wire whisk until all is well combined.

If you are a bit more lazy, you can alternatively put all in a food processor or blender and process until smooth. This white BBQ sauce recipe will keep fresh when sealed in a jar and stored in the fridge for around 7 days. So this is a perfect condiment to make ahead.

This Alabama white sauce makes an amazing and addictive condiment for veggies or potatoes. Trust me, it even works as a salad dressing or a dipping sauce for chips and crackers.

The white BBQ sauce is also amazing as a dipping sauce.

Variations for this Recipe:

Slow cooker BBQ Sauce: give all the ingredients in your slow cooker, set to the time you want, enjoy when it is done.

White BBQ sauce without mayo: skip the mayo and use dairy free yogurt instead. However you need to make sure it is plain.

Also you could use hummus. Although this will change the color a bit but it will still be absolutely delicious. Another possible substitute mashed avocado. Again, it is going to affect the color but will have the same rich texture like with mayo.
