Airline to Serve Popular Vegan Burger on London Flights

Air New Zealand will be offering the Impossible Burger

The airline announced recently that they will be offering the vegan-friendly burger as an option on their Los Angeles to London flights. The move is part of their collaboration with Silicon Valley food tech start-up company, Impossible Foods.

Last year Air New Zealand became the first airline in the world to serve the plant-based Impossible Burger, offering it on flights from Los Angeles to Auckland.  Following the burger’s success, a bite-size slider version was then introduced on flights from San Francisco to Auckland. Now, the United Kingdom will be the latest destination to be offered the revolutionary soy-based burger.

Air New Zealand’s Senior Manager Customer Experience, Niki Chave comments: “Customers have been asking for the Impossible Burger on our Los Angeles-London route and we’re very excited to take the plant-based burger across the Atlantic.

“The Impossible Burger has been a customer favourite and we’re confident it will appeal to travellers heading to Heathrow. And for those who want to stay with the tried and true, it will sit alongside our regular selection of menu items prepared by our talented culinary team and consultant chefs.”

The Impossible Burger will be served on Air New Zealand’s NZ2 flight from Los Angeles to London, until the end of October 2019.
